Updated Sonnax TC Limit Valve
Severe wear of the TC limit valve bore results in loss of converter release oil pressure. Reduced release pressure at low speed and idle will drag the converter lining, causing engine surge, pulsation or stall.
Low release pressure at cruise affects and limits efficiency, often increasing RPM and reducing fuel economy. If release pressure is low enough, the converter lining may drag enough to glaze the lining.
A worn TC limit bore contributes to converter drainback issues. The Sonnax oversized TC limit valve kit 44912-03K restores normal converter charge and cooler flow, correcting converter overheating problems. Installation of this valve requires use of a special reaming fixture and jig that allows this high quality valve and sleeve to be installed.
Sonnax Oversized Solenoid Switch Valve & Plug Kit
Solenoid switch valves and plugs in listed Chrysler transmissions cause bore wear as they oscillate and stroke during operation. This wear allows pressure loss and cross-leakage, and often permits the plugs to cock and hang up in the bore. This can result in failsafe mode, various codes, bind-ups, and burnt overdrive or 4th clutches. In 41 and 42 series units, TCC concerns can result, including engine stalling due to improper lockup. Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized solenoid switch valve and plug kit 92835-32K restores vital clearances for renewed operation and control.

At Shift Rite Transmissions, we want to ensure your transmission performs at its best! Our warranty covers everything under normal use, but it won’t cover damage to cases or shafts caused by misuse, abuse, or burn down due to operator error. For the warranty to remain valid, all warranty-related work must be completed at our facility in Kankakee, IL. The vehicle owner is responsible for shipping the transmission or vehicle to us for any necessary repairs. Please note that any unauthorized repairs made to the transmission will void the warranty. Please note that our warranty is non-transferable. We’re here to support you and keep your transmission in top shape!
Core Information:
Buyer is required to pay the core deposit up front. Core must NOT have any internal hard part, or case damage, otherwise there will be additional charges deducted from your core deposit for the damaged hard part(s) or case. Initial shipping cost only covers one-way shipping. Return shipping cost for the transmission core is not included. Return shipping cost is deducted from your core deposit refund, after returned core passes inspection.
