- Updated Sonnax B1, B2, K1, K2, K3 Accumulator Piston Kit
Wear at the accumulator bores in these units is very common. The B1, B2, K1, K2, and K3 accumulator pistons used during apply of the clutches to ease the engagement of the apply component. Wear at the valve body bore allows apply oil to exhaust, resulting in harsh or delayed apply, burned clutches, or slipping and flares in the associated gears. The Sonnax B1, B2, K1, K2, K3 accumulator piston kit incorporates an O-ring for positive sealing, even in worn bores.
- Updated Sonnax B1 & B2 Apply Control Plunger Valve Kit
A worn B1 or B2 apply control plunger valve sleeve can cause shift flares, delayed or harsh engagements, low line pressure and burnt B1 and B2 clutches. Line pressure is routed to the B1 and B2 plunger valve to aid in proper apply control of the B1 and B2 clutches. If the sleeve is worn at the B1 location, line pressure exhausts which will result in 1-2 and 5-6 shift flares, low line pressure and a burned B1 clutch. If the sleeve is worn at the B2 location, a cross-leak between line pressure and Reverse pressure is created, which can result in delayed or harsh Forward and Reverse engagements and a burned B2 clutch. The Sonnax B1/B2 apply control plunger valve kit 122740-01K restores hydraulic control at either location to address these issues. The K1 apply boost valve assembly aids in positioning the inboard K1 apply control valve to apply the K1 clutch in 1st through 4th Gears. As the sleeve oscillates from vibrational forces and the valve strokes over time, wear on these parts occurs, resulting in the loss of proper hydraulic control of the clutch pack. This can cause delayed forward shifts, forward slip and coast down clunk. The Sonnax K1 apply boost valve kit 122740-29K will restore the normal shift operation by re-establishing the proper hydraulic integrity of the K1 circuit. These Sonnax Parts feature a Hardcoat anodized aluminum valve combats premature wear, and the Sleeve is manufactured from highly wear-resistant aluminum.

The lockup boost valve and sleeve assembly are prone to wear due to oscillational and vibrational forces and the valve strokes over time, the wear that occurs prevents proper hydraulic control of the lockup control valve, resulting in a multitude of TCC complaints. Some common symptoms of these side-effects can be TCC slip, TCC slip codes and TCC apply and release concerns. Installing Sonnax lockup boost valve kit 122740-30K will restore normal TCC operations by re-establishing the proper hydraulic integrity of the Lockup control circuit. These Sonnax Parts feature a Hardcoat anodized aluminum valve combats premature wear, and the Sleeve is manufactured from highly wear-resistant aluminum.
- Updated Sonnax Oversized Cooler, Main Converter & Converter Relief Valve Kit
These units often suffer overheating and converter slip/code issues caused by excess wear in the cooler, main converter pressure and converter relief bores. This wear allows fluid loss, which can lead to poor cooling, low cooler feed, low converter charge, TCC slip and TCC slip codes. When working properly, these valves dampen/absorb pressure spikes to ensure proper apply and release of the TCC. Reconditioning the bores and installing Sonnax oversized cooler, main converter pressure and converter relief valve kit 122740-10K re-establishes correct clearances for proper valve function. These Sonnax Parts feature steel valves combat premature wear and Annular grooves that help center the valve in the bore to reduce side-load wear.
- Updated Sonnax Oversized Pressure Regulator Valve Kit
The pressure regulator valve and sleeve assembly are prone to wear due to continual oscillational and valve strokes wears the valve as well as the bore over time. If severe wear occurs the pressure regulator valve won’t stroke properly to regulate line pressure. This can result in high as well as low line pressure, which can lead to various shift complaints and burnt clutches. Sonnax oversized pressure regulator valve kit 122740-07K has significant improvements over the OE design to prevent future wear. With installation of this kit, the valve body bore can be refurbished and hydraulic integrity restored. These Sonnax Parts feature a Hardcoat anodized aluminum plunger valve combats premature wear, added spring pocket increases contact area and reduces wear and some of the valve lands are lengthened to provide better stability and durability.
- Updated Sonnax Oversized SLT Piston Kit
Significant bore wear at the SLT accumulator bore is common and allows SLT pressure to exhaust and may result in unstable line pressure, low pressure, delayed shifts and various flared and harsh shifts. Reaming the bore and installing Sonnax oversized SLT accumulator piston kit 122740-17K will restore proper clearances and hydraulic function.

Core must NOT have any internal hard part, or case damage, otherwise there will be additional charges deducted from your core deposit for the damaged hard part(s) or case. Initial shipping cost only covers one-way shipping. Return shipping cost for the transmission core is not included. Return shipping cost is deducted from your core deposit refund, after returned core passes inspection.
WARRANTY:
This transmission comes with a 1 Year 36,000 Mile Warranty with the purchase of a new torque converter. We offer an extended Warranty 2 Year 50,000 Mile Warranty, or a 3 Year 100,000 Mile Warranty for an additional charge.
