Corrects common sleeve walk issues with a shoulder to retain the feed bushing from shifting in the bore causing all sorts of shift complaints and failures
TCC signal dampers are used to dampen or smooth out the signal fluid pressure applied from each control solenoid before the fluid flows to the TCC control valve. This allows for a smoother apply of the converter. When the bore and/or piston wears out, it cannot effectively dampen the variation in pressure. This can result in TCC apply and release concerns, TCC codes and overheating and TCC shudder. Replacing these worn out dampers can require replacing the entire control valve body, or reaming the bore and installing an oversized piston. This TCC signal damper piston kit includes an O-ringed sleeve to allow a long-lasting, quick repair, no reaming required. The O-ring provides a positive seal against critical pressure loss even in worn bores. Features Hardcoat anodized aluminum piston combats premature wear, Annular grooves added to the piston reduces wear rate, Highly wear-resistant sleeve to prevent future wear. O-Ring provides positive seal to prevent critical pressure leakage in worn bores.
Wear in the main pressure regulator bore and on the outboard spool area of the valve is very common, this wear minimizes line pressure control, resulting in delayed shift engagement, poor shift quality and burnt clutches.
Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized main pressure regulator valve kit 105740-20K eliminates the leakage of line pressure signal oil to exhaust with the incorporation of an extended front valve spool. This valve spool is 270% longer than the OE spool, allowing for better sealing contact and a more stable operating valve. The O-ringed end plug provides a positive seal and prevents critical signal fluid from leaking to exhaust. Both of these Sonnax features ensure your units will have proper line pressure control through all drive ranges. The vehicle owner is responsible for shipping the transmission or vehicle to us for any necessary repairs. Please note that any unauthorized repairs made to the transmission will void the warranty. Core must NOT have any internal hard part damage or case damage, otherwise there will be additional charges deducted from your core deposit for the damaged hard part(s) or case.
