Updates to the Transmission:

• Updated Sonnax Low Reverse Snap Ring
  A common failure in the Ford 5R110W occurs when the low/reverse retaining ring pops out of the case groove, causing reverse clutch failure and severe damage to the case lugs. When moving in reverse, the pressure plate can have some radial movement in the case. This movement walks the retaining ring out of its groove. Sonnax low/reverse retaining ring 36885 is wider and slightly thicker, providing more outward tension than other available replacement rings. The increased tension and extra stiffness help keep the ring seated securely in the case groove.
• Superior Sure-Cool® Flow Control System that replaces the often stuck or melted OEM thermal bypass and provides Full time cooler flow with much lower average fluid temperature. Built-in high-pressure safety bypass into the lube circuit.
• Superior updated pressure regulator valve design utilizes unworn part of bore and provides stabilized regulation eliminates erratic pressure spikes, and Fine-tuned valve cycling for reduced bore wear. Also does not fail or stick like other common other aftermarket PR valves.
• Updated TransGo Steel Pressure Switch Plugs replaces the plastic OE plugs and addresses no 3-5 upshift repeat direct friction failure.
• Updated Forward Drum Solid Sealing Rings
• Updated TransGo Vent prevents accidental venting of fluid. It is designed to relocate the vent away from the normal cross leaks within the pump while still allowing for a functional vent.

• Updated 1 Piece Forward Drum Solid Sealing Rings replaces OE split cut sealing ring issues that cause major leaking in the forward drum hydraulic circuit
• Updated TransGo Steel Pressure Switch Plugs replaces the plastic OE plugs that can break and cause repeat clutch failure.

At Shift Rite Transmissions, we want to ensure your transmission performs at its best! Our warranty covers everything under normal use, but it won’t cover damage to cases or shafts caused by misuse, abuse, or burn down due to operator error. For the warranty to remain valid, all warranty-related work must be completed at our facility in Kankakee, IL. The vehicle owner is responsible for shipping the transmission or vehicle to us for any necessary repairs. Please note that any unauthorized repairs made to the transmission will void the warranty. Please note that our warranty is non-transferable. We’re here to support you and keep your transmission in top shape!

Buyer is required to pay the core deposit up front. Core must NOT have any internal hard part damage or case damage, otherwise there will be additional charges deducted from your core deposit for the damaged hard part(s) or case. Initial shipping cost only covers one-way shipping. Return shipping cost for the transmission core is not included. Return shipping cost is deducted from your core deposit refund, after returned core passes inspection. All Cores must be returned within 30 days from date of purchase.
